There are many types of avocado dishes here. My favourite was avocado toast. The avocado given here was the whole fruit and not smashed. Rain led me here, and I’m glad it did. This little café is tucked quietly between other tenants, almost easy to miss if you’re not paying attention. I popped in for shelter and ordered a cappuccino, and it turned out to be such a good decision. The coffee came with a neat little tasting card describing the blend (Ethiopia, Brazil & Colombia). Notes of dark chocolate, toasted almond, and toffee? Yes, exactly what I tasted in every sip. Smooth, creamy mouthfeel—just the kind of cup that makes you want to linger a little longer. A cozy hidden stop in Penang that proves sometimes the best finds happen by accident. Would definitely come back for another rainy-day cup.
Quiet quaint cafe I stumbled upon. Food is first class, my cup of hot chocolate was divine but what really caught me was the attentiveness of the person who took my order (I assume the owner). Amazing atmosphere, good food, a choice I'm keeping for future when hosting friends in Penang.
Good coffee & good food esp the spaghetti. Price on the higher side . Eventhough I am not a big eater IMO the food portion is very small esp the spaghetti… chia bei pa! Normal serving of spaghetti is around 70-75gm per pax. Over here I think they served around 55-60gm.
The coffee is great and they really put effort into the presentation of everything. Top marks, definitely worth a visit for coffee and breakfast.
The food here was delicious and the staff are very friendly and nice! I enjoy one of the best delicacy here, the avocado toast. This tastes so superb that I end up coming back later to order it again. I come here frequently, a few times a week.
An extraordinary lunch cafe that was opened some 10 years ago as a breakfast spot for students attending school opposite. After a pivot, Mellowcup now operates as a cafeteria with speciality grade coffees. Their lunch menu was attractively plated and delicious. Even more so, their coffee is what truly stands out. Recommended.
Nice ambience. Food portion just nice. Spaghetti texture just right. Lemon carbonara Pesto and carbonara ok 70% cocoa got a little sour taste. Personally like the Hokkaido milk crepe cake.
